Well, hello there...

Hailing from Greenock, Scotland, Bone Idle Bros. have been serving up their own brand of soulful, country-soaked Americana since 2019, winning hearts and growing a devoted following one gig at a time.

 

Old friends with hundreds of shows under their belts, from dive bars to festival stages, the Bros. came together to make a noise of their own.

 

Think Wilco, Neil Young, Alabama 3, Hank Williams, The Pogues, Willie Nelson, Talking Heads, Steve Earle and The La’s. Throw in a shot of punk energy, a splash of whisky and a healthy disregard for the rules. You’re getting warmer.

 

After honing their sound on the live circuit, the band set their sights on recording an album. Then the world went to hell for a couple of years. Gigs stopped, but the songwriting didn’t. New songs emerged, new stories demanded telling, and the Bros. came roaring back.

 

Next stop: the studio.

 

Recorded with producers Johnny Smillie and Kevin Burleigh, their self-titled debut album landed in 2024, celebrated with sold-out, whisky-fuelled shows on home turf in Gourock and Glasgow.

 

Featuring the singles Sometimes, Lately and Whisky and Pills, alongside the latest release It’s Easy, the album is packed with the grit, groove and heart that define the Bone Idle sound. Available on gatefold vinyl, CD and all major streaming platforms.

 

Since then, the Bros. have hit the promotional trail with radio appearances, interviews and a lively social media presence, bringing their music to new ears and their live show to new places.
