Happy new year!
2025 is here - we made it and you can celebrate by buying one of our lovely new hats or t shirts in our shop 😂😂😂😂. (Only kidding but truthfully we are pretty skint at present, releasing albums ain’t cheap)
Anyway’s 2024 was pretty busy for us we spent most of it finishing off the album, making videos, designing the cover, getting vinyl and CDs made and all the rest that goes along with putting out a record by yourself. We all had to take a crash course in graphic design and learn how to do everything ourselves as these days it costs too much to ask folk to do it for you, so we opted for the diy approach which is usually a bit better anyways and at least we can say it was all our own work.
Despite this we managed to release our self titled album last Oct/Nov and have been on the promo trail ever since playing 2 successful album launches in our hometown of Gourock Factory club (retro social club. It’s the one in the so tired video) and another show in Glasgow’s Old hairdressers.(sister of stereo lovely wee ramshackle joint perfect for us rough and ready cowpokes)
Support for us in Gourock were the amazing indie girl band Just Someone Who Cared who are making waves in the Glasgow scene and in Glasgow we had the fantastic folk duo Mike and Solvieg who all played a stormer of a set and made it an album launch night to remember so thanks a lot guys and everybody who came.
At the time of writing this we have also just played the Danny Kyle stage at Celtic Connections, we only got this confirmed 2 weeks ago and didn’t really have much time to promote it but we really enjoyed it and met some new friends, people seemed to enjoy it and if we get the coveted Danny award we might get asked back to play Celtic Connections next year so will keep ya'll posted on that .
Other news on the horizon is that we shall be playing the island of Bute festival on the 27th July (not sure what day we will be on yet but will keep ya posted) as well as some other gigs and festivals in Scotland and further afield once we get them confirmed. We also plan to do some new videos and new music to go along with them so exciting times ahead .
